We are excited to be hosting our May 2019 midweek break at the privately owned Spread Eagle Hotel & Spa in Midhurst, West Sussex.
The Spread Eagle is a charming, historic coaching inn, dating back to 1430, on the edge of the pretty market town of Midhurst in the heart of the South Downs National Park. The hotel is proud to retain its heritage whilst providing modern day comforts.
The hotel also has an eye catching indoor swimming pool with a Scandinavian style vaulted ceiling, Jacuzzi and Spa providing relaxing, indulgent treatments.
Midhurst is a little piece of English paradise; an ancient market town with buildings principally dating from the Tudor period set in the middle of the South Downs National Park and close to the vast Cowdray estate which includes Cowdray House and Cowdray Park, recognised worldwide as the ‘Home of British Polo’ and Goodwood with its motor sports and horseracing. National Trust’s Woolbeding Gardens is also close by and is often referred to as West Sussex’s best kept secret.
Jack Stocken will lead the bridge programme which will consist of three lessons (designed by Andrew Robson), three Supervised play sessions (Chicago scoring) and two Gentle Duplicates. The standard of bridge is friendly Intermediate and no partner necessary. You do not need to be a member of The Andrew Robson Bridge Club to join our bridge holidays.
