Following the great success of both the York and Jersey midweek breaks, we are delighted to return to The Haven Hotel, Sandbanks, Dorset for our April 2017 midweek break.
After the huge success of ARBH’s two previous breaks in 2011 and 2013 to Sandbanks, we are delighted to return to the luxurious 4* Haven Hotel in April 2017. Idyllically located at the very tip of the exclusive Sandbanks peninsular on Dorset’s South coast and with uninterrupted views of Poole Harbour – the perfect base from which to visit the Purbecks and the Dorset’s famous Jurassic coast. The Haven Hotel offers award-winning luxury from its acclaimed restaurants to its heavenly Spa.
We shall be dining in the critically acclaimed La Roche restaurant which has recently been awarded two AA red Rosettes for the twentieth year in succession. With a seasonal menu that reflects the finest local produce accompanied by wines from a discerning and far-reaching cellar, served in the most breathtaking of locations, this water’s edge restaurant offers a truly unique experience.
All of the 77 rooms are non-smoking and are furnished with special care and great attention to detail. The majority have balconies and sea or harbour views across to the Purbeck Hills, Studland Beach or Brownsea Island. There is a Leisure Club which includes a heated indoor and outdoor swimming pool, a tennis court and direct access to the beach. The Spa offers a wide range of beauty, aromatherapy and therapeutic treatments.
There will also be an optional half day excursion, possibly a boat trip around the islands and a delicious lunch. Poole is less than two hours from London, either by car, or train from Waterloo.
Jack Stocken will lead the bridge programme which will consist of three lessons (designed by Andrew Robson), three supervised sessions and two Gentle Duplicates. The standard of bridge is friendly Intermediate and no partner necessary. You do not need to be a member of The Andrew Robson Bridge Club to join our friendly bridge holidays.
